I used to deliver to Sherri’s Diner when I worked for Ben E. Keith. The kitchen was clean, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very alluring; like an antique shop mixed with that of a 50’s Route 66 restaurant rolled into one. Years later, I remembered to try it (today). It was packed. Usually the best sign of a good place. Once in line to be seated, the food kept rolling out of the kitchen. Huge cinnamon rolls, giant onion rings, towering cheese burgers, and all the smells of your favorite American comfort foods. Great and delicious stuff here at Sherri’s. You won’t be disappointed.
Hi y'all. Like the retro decor. It would have been a 5 if that juke box was working. I loved the pan fried cabbage, but it's only available on certain days. Unfortunately, the cornbread is dry and seems to need more oil. We really liked the onion rings.
The atmosphere is great, the service was outstanding (thank you, Georgette), and my meal was very good. I was craving a country fried steak (called chicken fried steak in these parts) and I was completely satisfied. The staff morale was very high which is always indicative of a good business. The food was so delicious that I ordered some pie and a cinnamon roll to take home. I will definitely be coming back.
Big portions, friendly service, and the hash browns are really crispy. They are great making sure your coffee cup stays full.
