I got the famous fried chicken, greens, and mac and cheese. I'd come back just to see the amazing team serving up this magic! But the food.....its such good soul food! That mac and cheese is something else. Try it! You won't regret it. The chicken was perfection and the greens were on point. They loved on us, treated us like family and served us a smoking hot delicious meal. 😋
So I finally made it in to try the food I ordered quite a few items not realizing they were closing soon! Still had the best service! I tried the jerk wings, fried catfish, smothered pork chops,, yams, greens, jalapeño cornbread everything was spot on except the greens they was wasn’t bad just not for me
The Food was delicious and the customer service was great. We came in for lunch and will return.
2nd time eating here. Decided to leave a review after giving another try. The food is underwhelming. I usually wait about 15 to 20 mins for my food and each time it never comes out like it was just made. This time my pork chops were dry and the hot honey chicken wings soggy, lackluster, and soaked with vinegary hot sauce, rendering no crisp to the wings themselves. My sweet tea had a spoiled, beer taste to it. The macaroni is similar to that at KFC. The atmosphere is good if u bring your family after church but do not expect much from the food itself.
I love The Kitchen. The closet thing to down-home southern cooking I have had. My favorite is the oxtails, and pork chops. So many good things on the menu. However, one thing on the dessert menu is easy to choose; the pound cake with the frosting. Phenomenal! The portions are a nice size. It’s clean! The owner comes out and checks on you to see if the food is okay! When I don’t cook on Sunday, it’s my go to!
